2010 Marathon a FANTASTIC event - Club members had a wonderful time on Sunday 13th June, teaching 12 teams from different businesses and families from the area how to play Wheelchair Basketball.  The Bombers were unbeaten in all the games and club members were able to take part in a team sport that is usually confined for them to our Thursday evening sessions.  They were ably supported by Junior and Senior team members who also assisted with the running of the day.  A great BBQ was enjoyed by all, and some fantastic raffle prizes were won.  A huge thank you must go to everyone who was involved during the day.  Click here to check out the Marathon pictures.

Runners up place for Bombers at Playoffs - Having won Division 3 Central, the Bombers were to face the winners from Division 3 South and  North at the Playoffs.

Sadly the Bombers were without Amy Conroy from Norwich, who was on GB duty, and their most experienced player Hugh Anderson, who was both ill and injured.  Nevertheless the first game against the Scots was closely fought.  In the end the Northerners’ power and experience told, with the score finishing 61-42 in their favour.

On Sunday morning, the Bombers faced the Tornados.  In an intriguing game in which the Bombers adopted a tactical approach and kept their defence rock solid, they wheeled away worthy winners 70-37.

Bombers crush Coventry Crusaders - The Bury Bombers travelled to Coventry for their final game of the season.  The team put in a fantastic performance to win 83 - 27, which confirmed the teams position at the top of Division 3 Central.

Bury Bombers Junior League Team take second place - The Bury Bombers Junior team (U19s) took second place at the weekend’s National Finals in Nottingham.  Click here to see the Final Results and click here to read the tournament report.

Last home game a HUGE success - The Bury Bombers put in their best performance of the season on Sunday at home against Sporting Club Albion, winning 96 - 17!!  This win effectively guarantees the team a place at the Championship Playoffs in May.
